This workshop will cover one and a half hours of instruction and will
include the following objectives:
A. Acquaint participants with the value and impact of the debate
experience.
B. Share, discuss and debate the 'evidence' that the debate activity does
what we say it does.
The workshop will include the following sessions:
1. What are the values of debate? What skills does debate teach?
2. What are the impacts of a debate experience?
3. How can individuals use the 'evidence' to sell debate to potential
funders, in department
meetings, to school officials, etc."
