IDEA Network News-Condensed Issue #137
Hello IDEA INN Readers,
Since the regular IDEA "Weekly" has been too large of a file to travel through our listservs lately, I wanted to give you a very brief "Weekly"-without frills or photos-to keep you informed about what IDEA has been up to. This task is similar to when your teacher or professor assigns a thousand word essay and you have five thousand words of information to convey. I'll choose my words carefully. We hope to have a solution to the listserv problem soon.
An Update on IDEA Website Features:
Our IDEA website specialist, Marjan Stojnev, has been hard at work creating new, useful features and tools on the IDEA website. Some of the new features include: the new IDEA Debate Encyclomedia, where you can view and listen to speeches and debates; the IDEA Wiki, which is available in many languages, including, Spanish, Russian, Hungarian, Arabic, and Romanian; the IDEA Debatabase Wiki , which includes articles from the IDEA Debatabase in a Wiki context; and the new IDEA Tournament Registration System, where you can register for IDEA tournaments and events. You can also go to the IDEA Portal and make it your homepage or post your next debate event on the IDEA Events Calendar. Explore the IDEA website; it offers a wealth of interesting and helpful resources.
Youth Forum Registration:
Registration for the 2007 Youth Forum in the Czech Republic is now open. To register, visit, www.idebate.org/tournaments. For more information about the Youth Forum, visit www.ideayouthforum.org, which is updated consistently.
idebate Magazine:
You may still submit articles or material for the next issue of idebate Magazine. The deadline is May 1st. If you're planning to submit materials for this issue, email alathrop at willamette.edu soon.
