Hi all, 
On behalf of Slovenian debate community I wish all of you a great 2007 and 
of course lots of  challenging debates and lots of joy when debating. 
 
On behalf of Slovenian debate community, which really has grown a lot in the 
last years, I also need to pass one  request. The Slovenian highschool coaches 
came out with a really great idea, they would like more international highschool 
tournaments happening in Europe and other parts of world, 
they are suggesting we keep informing each other when somebody organises the 
English debate tournament and invite other countries to participate aswell. They 
also suggested we create a calendarof international highschool events far in 
advance, so they have enough time to fundraise and get ready. 
 
So, I will start collecting the list of   international highschool debate events 
I heard they are planned to happen in the next year and I would appreciate a lot if 
everybody who plan to organize the international  highschool debate event 
inform me about it, so I can put it on the calendar.  We will post the calendar of 
international highschool events on ZIP web page, www.ljudmila.org/debata. 
 
Among others we are welcoming also the British and Irish debaters to join us at 
our events or even maybe organise the international tournament in their islands. 
 
Here are the highschool international debate events I know they are going to 
happen: 
- Bački Petrovac, Serbia, 9th to 13th of January, KP tournament 
- Tallin Open, Estonia, January 12th - 14th, KP tournament  
- Ormož, Slovenia, 13th-15th April, parallel tournaments, KP and Worlds 
Schools.- preparation for the Worlds in Seul 
- Macedonia, beginning of May, KP 
- Slovenia, 23rd to 30th of June, Summer Debate School, in Slovenian and 
English, open for international debaters, KP and Worlds Schools 
- Balaton lake, Hungary, 25th to 29th of June, Summer Debate School in English, 
Karl Popper and Worlds Schools  Debate Trainings 
- Seul, South Korea, 2nd to 12th of July, Worlds School Debate Championship,

- Stuttgart, Germany, Euorepean Debate Week,  last week in November, 
beginning of December, Worlds Schools Debate format. 
 
Please, send me the info about your international tournaments, so we can start 
promoting them. 
 
I have more though. Slovenian fast growing middle school debate community 
expressed the wish to organise an international middle school debate 
tournament. This is an inquiry: how many countries do have middle school 
debate, I am talking about kids from 11 to 14,  and are 
you interesting in international middle school tournament?
