Youth Forum Registration Deadline June 1st
To register for this year's youth forum in the Czech Republic, which will take place July 23rd through August 5th, go to www.idebate.org/tournaments. We prefer that coaches register their teams together, but you can register as an individual as well. The tournaments site will automatically generate an invoice for you, which includes instructions for making payment. (Please take into account bank wire fees, which are to be paid by registrants.) Also, please include your full address and contact information on the invoice form in case forum organizers need to contact you. The payment deadline for Youth Forum is June 20th. IDEA Announces the IDEA Exchange 2007
The IDEA Exchange 2007 is an academic conference that will be held at Vytautus Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania November 7th-8th, 2007. University professors, university students, debate activists, youth workers, and educators who work with debate are invited to attend and to submit proposals for inclusion in the conference. IDEA Holds International Tournament at Jiatong University in Xi'an
Next week, IDEA will hold its second international tournament of this academic year in the People's Republic of China. This tournament will be held in the historic walled city of Xi'an, in Shaanxi Province, home of the world famous terra cotta warriors. The Tournament will take place at Xi'an's Jiaotong University May 24th-27th. The official format of the tournament will be a 4-team parliamentary debate in WUDC style. Some of the topics for the tournament are: China's clean water and global warming policies, clean coal technology, television advertising for children, and college admission policies.
