IDEA is pleased to announce a call for the position of the Forum
Director for 2007-2008. This call is open for debater trainers, coaches
and teachers from all over the world.

General Information
The IDEA Summer Debate Forum usually takes place between July 23rd and
August 5th every year.

The participants in the Forum include secondary school students (aged 16
- 19), their coaches and teachers from over thirty countries. Although
teams come mainly from Central and Eastern Europe and Newly Independent
states, the Forum also draws participants from Asia, Western Europe,
North America, Great Britain and South Africa. The official language of
the Forum is English.

During the Forum, participants will take part in sessions on debate
methodologies as well as sessions on the topics related to the
resolutions. The group of international debate trainers will facilitate
all these educational activities.

another European language. The ideal candidate must have at least one
year of experience at the youth forum, as a trainer and/or coach.

The position of the Forum Director is a full time position and the Forum
Director will be required to work at one of IDEA offices - in Kaunas,
Lithuania; in Salem, Oregon, USA; or in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
