IDEA Announces the Launch of Debatepedia and a new IDEA Homepage!
On October 12th, IDEA will launch the Debatepedia debate tool, which is an interactive wiki that combines elements of the Debatabase, IDEA Wiki, and previous Debatepedia. On Debatepedia, you can learn about the latest debates in the news, get information about IDEA events, and find helpful information to help you prepare for your next debate. The Debatepedia launch will coincide with the launch of the new IDEA homepage, which will feature quick links to popular IDEA features-such as the Encyclomedia, Citizen Journalism page, and blog-and a searchable Debatabase right on the main page. IDEA is excited about these recent web developments! Check out the new features on October 12th!

Meet IDEA's New Youth Forum Coordinator, Veronika
"My name is Veronika Vlckova and I started to work for IDEA in the position of Forum Coordinator since mid-September. Just to clarify what it means; apart from other tasks, I will be helping the local host with spreading of the information, communicating to members and registering delegations, so that you have all the sufficient information you need well in advance. Together with experienced educators, I will also be working on developing the curriculum and program of the event, so that all the materials needed for a high quality learning experience are in place and in time. Additionally I will be working with trainers, so that they are well prepared. Apart from that I will be working on enlarging and diversifying our pool of trainers, curriculum developers and educators as well as the portfolio of products IDEA has to offer." IDEA is excited to have Veronika overseeing all things Forum for 2008. Welcome, Veronika!

*Veronika has issued a call for a Tournament Director, Curriculum Committee Member, and Chief Adjudicator for Forum 2008. To see position descriptions, visit this posting: http://www.idebate.org/events/index.php?event_id=104 . Trainer call coming soon.
