Here they are, the motions and the schedule for the INTERNATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL DEBATE TOURNAMENT, 
March 7th and 8th 2008, Postojna. 

The  prepared motions are: 
 “The European Union should allow the selling and consumption of meat and milk from cloned animals." 
“The European Union  should introduce  the   ombudsman to protect  economical immigrants.
Finals: “Fight against trafficking with human beings should become the very important priority of the European Union.”

The tournament is supported by European Commission and Slovenian Office for Communication. 

The registration is open. Please, do not wait with registration. Here are the other details about the tournament. Debate format: Worlds School Debate Format, check the format on www.schoolsdebate.com . Language: English.  Participation fee: 25 EUR per person in cash upon arrival.  

VERY IMPORTANT: BY DEBATE TEAM WE MEAN 3 DEBATERS – WE WILL NOT ACCEPT THE TEAMS OF FOUR OR FIVE DEBATERS. EVERYBODY COMING AS A DEBATER NEEDS TO DEBATE ALL DEBATE ROUNDS. 

We do expect debaters from other countries to come on Thursday and leave on Sunday. You will be hosted by the debaters         of the hosting schools (home stays), you will be invited to participate in the regular classrooms and debate activities. Some sight seeing will be organized as well.  
 
Postojna is a town 60 km from Ljubljana on the way to the Adriatic coast, easy accessible by traines and buses from Ljubljana, Trieste or Venice. There are lots of cheap    airlines, like Easyjet and Ryanair, Germanwings and others flying to Ljubljana, Trieste or Venice. Postojna is well known for the extremely beautiful caves.
