The People Speak 2006 Essay Competition



Once again, The People Speak (TPS) is holding an essay competition for youth
and young adults (up to 24 years of age).



Theme: Working Together with the World: What’s in it for the United States?



For all budding ambassadors, for those interested in foreign policy, for
anyone who loves to write, or for anyone who has to write an American
foreign policy research paper, here’s a great chance to express your views,
get published, and win $500.



Three Main Topics

You can write on any of the three topic areas:

(1)   Peace, Security, and Human Rights

(2)   Energy and Global Climate Change

(3)   Millennium Development Goals

Get writing, the deadline is November 30th, 2006!



Awards

Grand Prize: $500

And Publication by IDEA

Up to Ten Additional Awards of $250



Bonus for IDEA-affiliated Entrants!

Winning contestants affiliated with any IDEA-recognized debate organization
will also have awards of $250 (if a Grand Prize winner) or $100 (if a
runner-up) made out in their name to their organization.

Of course, if you are not part of an IDEA-recognized organization, you are
still eligible to win the individual prizes.
