Dear all,
Here it is: the program for the International Debate Weekend, which
will be held next week in Ljutomer, Slovenia. There will be 40 debate teams
from Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and USA

INTERNATIONAL DEBATE WEEKEND

PROGRAM
Wensday, 11th of October: arrival day
Thursday, 12nd of October:
- morning: participating at the regular classrooms, English, German, Geography, History classes, presenting the countries, from which the debaters come from
- afternoon: debate workshkops (argumentation by prof. Alred C. Snider, University of Vermont, Worlds School Debate Format, by Bojana Skrt, ZIP)
- evening: social event – knowing each other for debaters, wine tasting for coaches
TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
There were be two parallel tournaments, one in Karl Popper and one in Worlds Schools Debate Format. The schedule is almost the same for both tournaments. At the tournaments
almost 30 debate teams from Slovenia will join debaters from abroad.

14.00 – 15.00 Judging meeting. Debaters prepare for the debates.
15. 00 Round 1: Impromptu

21.00 Social event

16.00 Finals of the Worlds School Tournament: Impromptu motion
17.30 Closing ceremony
The tournament is a part of the project entitled »FOR MY EVERYDAY LIFE THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT IS AS IMPORTANT AS THE SLOVENIAN PARLIAMENT” co-financed by European Parliament.
