Here is the proposal for the Fundraising Workshop November 2, 2006
IDEA Development Directors Boudewijn Bekkers (the Netherlands) and Cheron
Calder (USA) will share knowledge and experiences in fundraising both in the
United States and in Europe. The workshop will focus on two different
approaches to raising money: one from public sources in Europe and the other
from private sources in the United States. Workshop participants will build
a fundraising tool kit by working through a model to develop a fundraising
plan and a strategy for success. The toolkit will also include lists of
funding sources and fundraising support websites to help fund seekers find
financial support for their work. There will be time allotted during the
workshop for participants to receive individual coaching and feedback on
their plans. Additionally, participants are invited to schedule one-on-one
coaching sessions with Cheron and Boudewijn after the workshop.
