Greetings,

On November 9th 1989, Europe and the world witnessed a symbolic event –
the Fall of Berlin Wall, the most potent symbol of divided Europe and in
fact, the divided World. November 9th, 2007 marks the 18th anniversary of
this event. It is a “Coming of Age” of the New Europe – a bigger and more
united Europe.

To commemorate this world-changing event, International Debate Education
Association (IDEA) is launching its new online project: euyouthspeak.org.
By establishing this site, we would like to promote debate and discussion
on most important European and global issues.

IDEA would like to reach out to the young people of Europe for their
discussion and contribution on this new website. Young people are Europe’s
cause of optimism--Europe’s future-- and IDEA would like
www.euyouthspeak.org to be a place for exchange of ideas and arguments on
the current state of Europe and its relations with the rest of the World.

EUyouthspeak.org is an ongoing work in progress and a place for
discussion; we welcome your comments and contributions!
